1-ply vs 2-ply vs 3-ply
More plies make a thicker, softer sheet. Fewer plies put more sheets on each roll, so the pack lasts longer and costs less per sheet. A 1-ply sheet is thinner, so many people use a few more per trip. That's why roll count alone isn't a fair comparison.
What roll sizes mean
- Double Roll: about 2 regular rolls
- Triple Roll: about 3 regular rolls
- Mega Roll: about 4 regular rolls
- Super Mega and Mega XL: about 6 regular rolls
Each brand sets its own sheet count, so a Charmin Mega Roll and an Angel Soft Mega Roll are not the same size. Compare total sheets instead. We put sheets per roll in the product title wherever the brand publishes it.
How long does a pack last?
A household of four uses roughly 228 sheets a day. At that rate:
